In the 11th minute, Vânderson Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norberto da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Albino Ibar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AKI CORINTHIANS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 14th minute Albino Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo da Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo da Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Xanda FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AKI CORINTHIANS:s goal. AKI CORINTHIANS's Orlando Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Paes in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes AKI CORINTHIANS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cícero Queiroz who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Xanda FC's corner Matías Guedes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orlando Nogueira quite easily take care of the ball. Ian Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Brasil in the 28th minute of play. Norberto da Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando Nogueira having to make a save. In the 34th minute of the match, Ciro Brasil tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ian Melo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías Guedes during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Xanda FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Matías Guedes hit a great ball. In the 41st minute of the game, Ciro Brasil landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 42 minutes into the game, Cícero Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xanda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKI CORINTHIANS the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Cícero Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Tinoco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ian Melo made a huge save. Ian Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Ibar in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ian Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Ribeiro in the 54th minute of the match. The Xanda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ian Melo should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute Vânderson Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Albino Ibar notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Xanda FC's Ian Melo. Ian Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AKI CORINTHIANS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
