The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sérgio Jacinto scored 4-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geraldo Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Doğaner Çokay put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Geraldo Pitta. Gernando Sarmento was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 29th minute, Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's Hudson Xavier seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hudson Xavier the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hudson Xavier had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 29th minute, one of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rio Bonito do Iguaçu. Geraldo Pitta had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Gernando Sarmento's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Doğaner Çokay sped through Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geraldo Pitta. 38 minutes into the match, Eliseu Brasil notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's Geraldo Pitta. Geraldo Pitta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gernando Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51stth minute of the game Doğaner Çokay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's Geraldo Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hernani Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hernani Jacinto hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doğaner Çokay in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geraldo Pitta saved Rio Bonito do Iguaçu from getting behind. Geraldo Pitta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doğaner Çokay's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Geraldo Pitta came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Engenheiros da Vila's Gernando Sarmento. But to his dismay, Gernando Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. A collision led to Rio Bonito do Iguaçu getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. João Carlos de Godoi hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Doğaner Çokay made it 13-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's Geraldo Pitta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's goal looked a bit too open when Doğaner Çokay came free, but Geraldo Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geraldo Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Atarratze in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Gernando Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Engenheiros da Vila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Doğaner Çokay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
