Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The attack was good, but when Norberto da Silva in the 15th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 19th match minute, Xanda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Luiz Fernando Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Melo having to interfere. The supporters of Xanda FC booed when Jucuitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Agüero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Jucuitiba's Luiz Guilherme Romero got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Michel Agüero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. Xanda FC were furious when Umberto Martins was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 96 played minutes Xanda FC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Martins. Ian Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentín Laredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
