Jonathan Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Prestes having to interfere. Raimundo Prestes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Agüero in the 42nd minute. Ahmet Ceyhan Soyselçuk hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Luiz Guilherme Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Prestes having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Rubens Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Vermelho 23's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Agüero came free, but Raimundo Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Galvão in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Prestes saved Vermelho 23 from getting behind. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vermelho 23's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valentín Laredo was slow to take the kick. During this time Jucuitiba's players had a chance to rest. After a defensive mix-up in Vermelho 23's zone, Jonathan Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Prestes came out of the goal and Jonathan Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jucuitiba fully deserved thier win.
