Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Xanda FC's Norberto da Silva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafa Pereira. Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute, Renan Paes made a precise shot to the right of Geraldo Pitta. Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Norberto da Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geraldo Pitta. Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto da Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Xanda FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu:s goal. Ian Melo had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Duda Prata's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Xanda FC's Renan Paes in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's goalie prevented a goal. Geraldo Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Guedes in the 28th minute of the match. Geraldo Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto da Silva in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Rio Bonito do Iguaçu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Prata to maneuver through the defense. Renan Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Norberto da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Pitta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Geraldo Pitta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matías Guedes went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Luiz Fernando Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Geraldo Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Xanda FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Madureira was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Norberto da Silva lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Geraldo Pitta. 59 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Hoffmann came free, but Ian Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute João Carlos de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Norberto da Silva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geraldo Pitta, 0-7. Renan Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Madureira came free, but Ian Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maicon Aguiar hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's Duda Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 minutes of play, Xanda FC's Umberto Martins made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geraldo Pitta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto da Silva in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geraldo Pitta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Willian Dante hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rio Bonito do Iguaçu getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Duda Prata hit a great ball. Rio Bonito do Iguaçu's Geraldo Pitta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Bonito do Iguaçu from getting a goal against them. Geraldo Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jânio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
