Till Kemmling stood somewhat misplaced when Rigoberto Vilaprenyo came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 13 minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Vilaprenyo in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Till Kemmling saved Curima from getting behind. Till Kemmling was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Rigoberto Vilaprenyo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. 24 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Till Kemmling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the match, Curima's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Vilaprenyo came free, but Till Kemmling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Till Kemmling. Curima's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Vilaprenyo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Till Kemmling. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká da Fonseca in the 47th minute of play forced Curima's goalkeeper Till Kemmling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rigoberto Vilaprenyo to strike the kick off in the second half. Curima's Bruninho Abreu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tiaguinho Loyola but with some difficulty. The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Vilaprenyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Till Kemmling was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Till Kemmling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rigoberto Vilaprenyo's shot from short distance in the 74th minute.
