In the 20th minute, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mateo Telmo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Václav Budka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robinho Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Rigoberto Vilaprenyo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasconline's Václav Budka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Vilaprenyo got free with Václav Budka in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. RACING FBPA's Robinho Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Rigoberto Vilaprenyo made the kick off in the second half. Dedé Messias's late challenge caught a Vasconline's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dedé Messias helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to RACING FBPA getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dedé Messias hit a great ball. RACING FBPA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Pawel Witkowski scored to the left of an out of position Tiaguinho Loyola, making the score, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Vilaprenyo in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Václav Budka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Václav Budka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Umberto Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasconline's supporters rose to their feet, but Umberto Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiaguinho Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. RACING FBPA's Valdomiro Brito was substituted for Kaká da Fonseca. Václav Budka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Domingues in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77thth minute of the game Rigoberto Vilaprenyo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasconline's Václav Budka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute RACING FBPA were awarded a corner. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo went to the cornerflag to take it. Lovis Kirsch made a great header on RACING FBPA's corner, it was just that Vasconline's Václav Budka managed to reach the ball for a save. RACING FBPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rigoberto Vilaprenyo in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Umberto Mangueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiaguinho Loyola. Umberto Mangueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 85 minutes into the match, RACING FBPA's Rigoberto Vilaprenyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Václav Budka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Vasconline supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vasconline would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
