After 13 played minutes Ernesto Rossetti rounded Internacional Paulista's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After a rather tough play, Mazomba SC's Ernesto Rossetti got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Eiko Oese managed to get in a good position for a shot. Internacional Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Eiko Oese was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válbson Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eiko Oese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arlindo do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dénes Ábrahám in the 19th minute of play. Pedrinho Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válbson Sergipano having to interfere. The supporters of Internacional Paulista booed when Mazomba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Mota in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Válbson Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tomé de Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mazomba SC's protests and gave Tomé de Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Mazomba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Eiko Oese cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé de Mendonça in the 51st minute of play forced Internacional Paulista's goalkeeper Arlindo do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé de Mendonça in the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 minutes, Zachary Terasek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mazomba SC and the Internacional Paulista players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Mota got free with Válbson Sergipano in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arlindo do Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernesto Rossetti went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 68 minutes into the game, Dudu de Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Internacional Paulista's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mazomba SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Internacional Paulista's Dudu de Medeiros got a free kick in the 68th minute. Zachary Terasek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd minute Dénes Ábrahám shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute Dénes Ábrahám shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Ernesto Rossetti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo do Vale. Internacional Paulista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Rossetti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Rossetti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arlindo do Vale was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Internacional Paulista players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mazomba SC.
