Spectators: 7648 (Terracing: 5739, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 150) 5 minutes into the match, Zé Barreto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henrique Pires, 1-0. When Zé Barreto got free in front of the goal in the 9th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Henrique Pires was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jefferson Bezerra during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Shamrock United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Shamrock United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sidney de Salles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lenílson Veloso during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Lenílson Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdomiro Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Seme having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Zé Barreto made a precise shot to the right of Henrique Pires. Shamrock United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Shamrock United's Henrique Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Shamrock United from getting a goal against them. Henrique Pires was a little too slow when Sidney de Salles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 3-0. Shamrock United's Henrique Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney de Salles in the 25th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Club Athletico Paranaense got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Furtado. Carlos Eduardo Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Seme having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Eduardo Alvarenga in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Seme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robustiano Seme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Sidney de Salles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henrique Pires. Sidney de Salles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Henrique Pires made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Zé Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Sidney de Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, Club Athletico Paranaense's Sidney de Salles made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrique Pires was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Eduardo Alvarenga to strike the kick off in the second half. When Club Athletico Paranaense's Sidney de Salles in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shamrock United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 57th minute Sidney de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Valdomiro Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Club Athletico Paranaense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leigh Bayne to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdomiro Nascimento got free with Robustiano Seme in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Zé Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Sidney de Salles scored 6-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Pires, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henrique Pires came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Athletico Paranaense's Maximo Pirmin. But to his dismay, Maximo Pirmin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Shamrock United's Henrique Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leigh Bayne in the 80th minute of play. Henrique Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Barreto in the 81st minute of play. Sidney de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shamrock United's Henrique Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Furtado in the 89th minute of play. Henrique Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney de Salles in the 89th minute of play. If Valdomiro Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robustiano Seme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Alvarenga in the 97th minute of play. There was no doubt that Club Athletico Paranaense were the better team. Club Athletico Paranaense's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
