Spectators: 7683 (Terracing: 5833, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cido Cardozo started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Cido Cardozo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BRASIL.Sp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th minute Dorival Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorival Leão took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hortêncio Berger. Hortêncio Berger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tomas Gustavsson struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Hortêncio Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C.Mandala. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Torres in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Berger saved BRASIL.Sp from getting behind. Tomas Gustavsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hortêncio Berger came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Gustavsson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Cardozo in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Su Xiang Chuan saved A.C.Mandala from getting behind. Eurico Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. BRASIL.Sp's Hortêncio Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save BRASIL.Sp from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, BRASIL.Sp's Hortêncio Berger got control of the ball when Dorival Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, João Adolfo Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRASIL.Sp's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Adolfo Trevisan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Tomas Gustavsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match BRASIL.Sp got a corner. A.C.Mandala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Renan Zanette ran over to the corner to take the kick. BRASIL.Sp's Renan Zanette was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Su Xiang Chuan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C.Mandala's goalkeeper Su Xiang Chuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Thiago Ramalho fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BRASIL.Sp's protests and gave Thiago Ramalho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Thiago Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Leão was the one to do the kick off. Hortêncio Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Hugo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Berger having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dorival Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio Berger was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When Tomas Gustavsson came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the A.C.Mandala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Gustavsson couldn't finish the play. Su Xiang Chuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Adolfo Trevisan in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute of the game, Emeterio Sarro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Gustavsson during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. BRASIL.Sp made a substitution. Doriva Jacinto replaced Emeterio Sarro. In the 65th minute, Tomas Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Cardozo in the 66th minute of play forced A.C.Mandala's goalkeeper Su Xiang Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Su Xiang Chuan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cido Cardozo went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Cido Cardozos short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Su Xiang Chuan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hortêncio Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Babylon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for A.C.Mandala. Johnny Babylon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hortêncio Berger. 3-2. Cido Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A.C.Mandala's Su Xiang Chuan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save A.C.Mandala from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cido Cardozo got free with Su Xiang Chuan in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cido Cardozo in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Su Xiang Chuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of A.C.Mandala booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Gustavsson in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Renan Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Su Xiang Chuan made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Cido Cardozo sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Gustavsson came free, but Hortêncio Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BRASIL.Sp's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
