An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelnacer Zarabi in the 22nd minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Stefan Neubrandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Catalunha players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Internazionale-RS were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Batiste Carrez to make the kick off. Stefan Neubrandt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Catalunha. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Juarês Salles got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ciccio Biagetti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Neubrandt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After 81 played minutes FC Catalunha got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Biagetti. Batiste Carrez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Vito de Godoi made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Moisés Cordeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vito de Godoi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 86 minutes into the match, FC Catalunha's goal looked a bit too open when Batiste Carrez came free, but Vito de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Seco came free, but Stefan Neubrandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes Internazionale-RS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciccio Biagetti who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Abdelnacer Zarabi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The Internazionale-RS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Internazionale-RS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
