The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Serafim Salles dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vito de Godoi, 1-0. Lewis Bettinson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, Acad Fanática por Futebol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis Bettinson to maneuver through the defense. Ciccio Biagetti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Ahlroht having to make a save. In the 13thth minute of the game Claudinei Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acad Fanática por Futebol's Åke Ahlroht was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vito de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidnei Falcão in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Lucas in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Åke Ahlroht saved Acad Fanática por Futebol from getting behind. In the 25th minute of the match FC Catalunha got a corner. Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciccio Biagetti ran over to the corner to take the kick. Åke Ahlroht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Lewis Bettinson charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis Bettinson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Lewis Bettinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes, FC Catalunha's Ciccio Biagetti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Åke Ahlroht came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Catalunha reached it. Bruninho de Almeida hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Åke Ahlroht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Seco in the 36th minute of play. After 40 played minutes FC Catalunha got a freekick which was hit by Julio Chucho. 41 minutes into the match, FC Catalunha's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Falcão came free, but Vito de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claudinei Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalkeeper Åke Ahlroht, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Catalunha's Claudinei Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidnei Falcão made a kick off. Vito de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ciccio Biagetti took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Åke Ahlroht. Åke Ahlroht dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Luisito Tejerina was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to Acad Fanática por Futebol getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Luisito Tejerina hit a great ball. With a little luck, Acad Fanática por Futebol's Åke Ahlroht got control of the ball when Ciccio Biagetti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Víktor Cerezo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Claudinei Lucas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Åke Ahlroht firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Catalunha's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciccio Biagetti in the 69th minute. The corner led FC Catalunha's Ciccio Biagetti to fire away a dangerous shot which Åke Ahlroht despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Åke Ahlroht was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciccio Biagetti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 70 minute of play. The FC Catalunha fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when FC Catalunha's Claudinei Lucas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalkeeper Åke Ahlroht, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anderson Seco hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Serafim Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. FC Catalunha's José Maria Ramalho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Åke Ahlroht but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Biagetti in the 92nd minute of play forced Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalkeeper Åke Ahlroht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
