The wind increased when Barnaba Marud made the kick off in the second half. Paraná Clube PG's Oswaldo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louie Fruekilde in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Barnaba Marud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Paraná Clube PG defense, Zé Pedro Baptista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oswaldo Velloso. The Paraná Clube PG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswaldo Velloso should have stopped the shot.
