An unexpectedly hard shot by Xu Jie Hao in the 20th minute of play forced São Salvador's goalkeeper Dieguinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dieguinho Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marnix Lyesen went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 56th minute Zé Roberto Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Czar Sporting's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marnix Lyesen in the 66th minute. Marnix Lyesen made a great header on Czar Sporting's corner, it was just that São Salvador's Dieguinho Leite managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 88th minute of the match São Salvador got a corner. Czar Sporting's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Pontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Umberto de Souza was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 94 minutes into the match, Czar Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto de Souza came free, but Tostão Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
