Serginho Lusa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Pitta in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Du Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Viana came free, but Markus Pflüger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Pflüger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Viana in the 23rd minute of play forced Du Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Markus Pflüger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Du Esporte Clube's Gualter Pitta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Silveira's Joel Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Joel Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Markus Pflüger was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Joel Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Pflüger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. When Silveira's Joel Viana in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Du Esporte Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Viana made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Du Esporte Clube's Kauã Britto got a free kick in the 55th minute. Markus Pflüger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Viana in the 56th minute of the match. Serginho Lusa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Du Esporte Clube's Markus Pflüger got control of the ball when Joel Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match Silveira got a corner. Du Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Beto Carvalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Aílton Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silveira's protests and gave Aílton Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, Silveira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Silveira's Nuno Palmeira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kauã Britto in the 62 minute of the game. Joel Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Markus Pflüger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Du Esporte Clube's Nemesio Clementi got a free kick in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Beto Carvalho could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Markus Pflüger however easily saved by the left post. Silveira's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Beto Carvalho in the 72nd minute. Elano Blumer was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Joel Viana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Markus Pflüger having to make a save. 82 minutes into the match, Joel Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Pflüger. Du Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. The corner led Silveira's Beto Carvalho to fire away a dangerous shot which Markus Pflüger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Du Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Markus Pflüger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute of the match Silveira got a corner. Du Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Beto Carvalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Beto Carvalho made a great header on Silveira's corner, it was just that Du Esporte Clube's Markus Pflüger managed to reach the ball for a save. 96 minutes into the match, Silveira's Nico Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markus Pflüger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Silveira left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Du Esporte Clube.
