Iker Hidalgo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Andrade in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chu Yun Lei came free, but Iker Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Catadão getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Renan Dudognon hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Válter Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Hoffmann hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jardel Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Arenas in the 53rd minute of the match. Catadão's Hernani Pires was substituted for Kléberson Xavier. 60 minutes into the game, Hernani Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catadão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velho Barreiro FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Catadão's Hernani Pires got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 61st minute, Lovis Wefers made a precise shot to the right of Jardel Reis. Catadão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Catadão's Oswaldo do Vale got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jardel Reis came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Velho Barreiro FC's Edmílson Cosme. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chu Yun Lei in the 70th minute of play forced Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Iker Hidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Naldo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Hidalgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid de Salles in the 78th minute of play. Velho Barreiro FC's Iker Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid de Salles in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Catadão's Jardel Reis got control of the ball when Naldo Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmílson Cosme struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jardel Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velho Barreiro FC. Iker Hidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Catadão supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Velho Barreiro FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Velho Barreiro FC.
