In the 6th minute Yngve Örtendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tor Echegoyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Andrade in the 11th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Chute de Ouro FC's Ivo Simões made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jardel Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 20 minutes, Ivo Simões made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Catadão's Jardel Reis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deivid de Salles got free with Tor Echegoyen in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute of the match, Jeremias Andrade got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tor Echegoyen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 31 played minutes Catadão got a freekick which was hit by Chu Yun Lei. The referee ignored Chute de Ouro FC's protests and gave Giovanni Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. Giovanni Nóbrega hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Deivid de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Echegoyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Chute de Ouro FC's Tor Echegoyen got control of the ball when Deivid de Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Ivo Simões made the kick off in the second half. Catadão's Nildo Hoffmann was substituted for Jeremias Andrade. Deivid de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tor Echegoyen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Benê Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Catadão booed when Chute de Ouro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes Álvaro Godoi shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Chute de Ouro FC's Tor Echegoyen to catch but Álvaro Godoi was lucky. It became 3-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 94th minute, Renan Dudognon had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 94 minutes, Ivo Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chute de Ouro FC and the Catadão players grew even worse after the yellow card. Catadão made a substitution. Dadá Quadros replaced Renan Dudognon. When the referee ended the match the Catadão players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
