The corner led to Galo do Cerrado's Pedrinho da Silva getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Scotland Titans's goal looked a bit too open when Almantas Plungys came free, but Ruy Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Galo do Cerrado got a corner. Scotland Titans's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severino Novaes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Beto dos Santos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruy Zonta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Scotland Titans defense, Beto dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Zonta. The Scotland Titans fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Zonta should have stopped the shot. Scotland Titans's Ruy Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto dos Santos in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Galo do Cerrado's Claudinho Sá got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Peli in the 95th minute of play forced Scotland Titans's goalkeeper Ruy Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Scotland Titans defense, Evelio Peli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Zonta. The Scotland Titans fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Zonta should have stopped the shot. Galo do Cerrado's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
