Leonardo Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Arruda having to interfere. Aurel Mușetescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvester Schwarzenegger in the 21st minute of play. Doriva Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Excelência de Luxe's Doriva Jacinto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Arruda. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Aurel Mușetescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvester Schwarzenegger in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Doriva Jacinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elias Arruda. Antropofagia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doriva Jacinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Elias Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Aurel Mușetescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Castro in the 38th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva Jacinto in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurel Mușetescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomasz Fiszer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doriva Jacinto was the one to do the kick off. Sylvester Schwarzenegger's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aurel Mușetescu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sylvester Schwarzenegger might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurel Mușetescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Jacinto in the 85th minute of play forced Antropofagia FC's goalkeeper Elias Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Excelência de Luxe's Doriva Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Excelência de Luxe's Aurel Mușetescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Excelência de Luxe from getting a goal against them.
