After 20 minutes Fazendinha's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrique Arósio who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Bueno in the 23rd minute of play forced Fazendinha's goalkeeper Juarês Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gonzalo Mangas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Santiago Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Mangas couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fazendinha's zone, Lorenzo Santa María stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Jacinto came out of the goal and Lorenzo Santa María tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Santa María notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Fazendinha's Juarês Jacinto. Juarês Jacinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santiago Futebol Clube's Anton Hurezeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Santiago Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them.
