An unexpectedly hard shot by José Furlan in the 17th minute of play forced Anderbye FC's goalkeeper Ander Bye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Leandro Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anderbye FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeu Guedes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Poul Knoblauch successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romeu Guedes was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Romeu Guedes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ander Bye. With 59 minutes on the clock, Afonso Alves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Ander Bye had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping José Furlan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Ypiranga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Veiga to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Wanderson Trevisan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Poul Knoblauch was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Anderbye FC's Ander Bye proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Anderbye FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luizinho Veiga got free with Ander Bye in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute José Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ander Bye saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, one of Anderbye FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Anderbye FC. Ander Bye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes Anderbye FC got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Mello. Ypiranga FC's Romeu Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ander Bye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Furlan in the 98th minute of the match. In the 100th minute, Anderbye FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kerimhan Keykubad fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Anderbye FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ypiranga FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ypiranga FC.
