Andorinhas FCC's Petrea Plop quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 20 minutes, Váldson Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sofs Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute Váldson Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Faron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Váldson Prado came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sofs Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Váldson Prado couldn't finish the play. Andorinhas FCC's Marian Faron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Prado in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sofs Futebol Clube's Donato Abraão got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 39 played minutes Sofs Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Donato Abraão. Thanks to some nice moves Alix Miel could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Claudinei Messias however easily saved by the left post. In the 45th match minute, Sofs Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Abraão to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Sofs Futebol Clube's Leopoldo Mora was substituted for Váldson Prado. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 83 played minutes Andorinhas FCC got a freekick which was hit by Alix Miel. In the 84thth minute of the game Leopoldo Mora who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andorinhas FCC's Marian Faron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sofs Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Andorinhas FCC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vágner de Souza took the corner. Leopoldo Mora might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marian Faron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Mora ran back to his position shaking his head. After 92 minutes Sofs Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alessandro Krieser who took care of the corner kick. Claudinei Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alix Miel, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Andorinhas FCC's Paulinho Rocha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Donato Abraão in the 96 minute of the game. The supporters of Sofs Futebol Clube booed when Andorinhas FCC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Sofs Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Andorinhas FCC.
