Diogo Melo started the match with the kick off. Jailson Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. José Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by AVAÍ F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Club Cevada's players had a chance to rest. Jailson Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Lima in the 18th minute of the match. Diogo Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jailson Teles made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Lima in the 21st minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apostolis Porros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Alegría, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Sport Club Cevada's Iuri Vale seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Iuri Vale the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sport Club Cevada protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iuri Vale had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sport Club Cevada! The referee gave AVAÍ F.C. a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dario Alegría, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sport Club Cevada's Apostolis Porros. 1-1. Sport Club Cevada's Apostolis Porros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Antunes in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Wesley Pinho got a free kick in the 31st minute. Jailson Teles was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from José Lima. Sport Club Cevada's Apostolis Porros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Salles in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Elias Figueroa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVAÍ F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club Cevada the free kick. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Elias Figueroa got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Lima in the 38th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sport Club Cevada's Apostolis Porros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Matos in the 40th minute of play. Jailson Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Lima in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute Walmyr Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostolis Porros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
