In the 66th match minute, Itapeipu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Nilson Leite succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 67th playminute. Itapeipu AD's Ege Kınık was substituted for Udalaitz Ochotorena. Bilbo Arzube was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Itapeipu AD's Carlos Alberto Azevedo was substituted for Desiderio Tome. Greg Marshall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
