One of ATHLETICO PRaiano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ:s goal. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Macedo in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitchel Bakker to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Sousa having to interfere. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ixona Mascarañas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ixona Mascarañas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tolgahan Onatkan to make the kick off. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Tolgahan Onatkan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rodriguinho Sousa. Amauri Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Skoog, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Robin van Persie came free, but Amauri Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
