The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5thth minute of the game Valdomiro Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville United - FSCMZ's Borys Gruchacz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gustavo Scarpa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Filiberto Sancho made a huge save. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Prospero Perfecto was slow to take the kick. During this time Joinville United - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Prospero Perfecto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Filiberto Sancho did a great save. Filiberto Sancho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Scarpa in the 12th minute. Borys Gruchacz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Filiberto Sancho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER from getting a goal against them. Borys Gruchacz came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Valdomiro Matos. But to his dismay, Valdomiro Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gustavo Scarpa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Filiberto Sancho made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdomiro Matos in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Borys Gruchacz saved Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting behind. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Marino Montrelle sped through Joinville United - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Borys Gruchacz. 39 minutes into the game, Valdemar Brolin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Karel Otto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Borys Gruchacz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Matos in the 51st minute of play. Lennart Khan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Sancho having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Gustavo Scarpa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Filiberto Sancho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joinville United - FSCMZ made a substitution. Tostão Montenegro replaced Didi Cardozo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marino Montrelle got free with Borys Gruchacz in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Borys Gruchacz made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Roegelio Igual sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Richard Velits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Perfecto came free, but Filiberto Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Filiberto Sancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Filiberto Sancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Mané Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Lara came free, but Filiberto Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 86th minute of the game was made by Valdemar Brolin with Titouan Gerbaud as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Filiberto Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Lara in the 87th minute of the match. Mané Lara took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filiberto Sancho. Filiberto Sancho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Mané Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
