The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Tanio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Maximo Bide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to REYES getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. REYES's attack was well implemented in the 14th minute, but when Rolando Tanio was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 16 minutes in the game Urbano Luar did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bonifacio Nardo. Maximo Bide made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ismael Barrionuevo sent off a good shot on target. Maximo Bide didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Barrionuevo got free with Maximo Bide in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Pelayo in the 31st minute of play forced REYES's goalkeeper Bartolo Maties to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Matos FC booed when REYES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Rolando Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Bide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matos FC's Maximo Bide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Matos FC from getting a goal against them. Delmar Mambru took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartolo Maties. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Barrionuevo in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Bide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, REYES's goalkeeper Bartolo Maties had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Pelayo. In the 64th minute, Freddy Abaunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximo Bide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Tanio in the 70th minute of play. Maximo Bide came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by REYES's Rolando Tanio. But to his dismay, Rolando Tanio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Delmar Mambru hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. REYES's Angelo Martxot was substituted for Cornelio Justin. A collision led to Matos FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Delmar Mambru hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Tanio in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Bide saved Matos FC from getting behind. Urbano Luar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The REYES fans cheered their team off the field, for while Matos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
