Gervasio Bartoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Sandaili, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The supporters of Deportivo Cavernas booed when Pedermar AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Merexildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Cavernas's Honorato Eriz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 16 played minutes Pedermar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Etxatxu. In the 18th minute of the match Ognyan Búchvarov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gervasio Bartoli skillfully saved the ball. Donato Chayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Henric, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pedermar AFC's Angelo Henric in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonides Sandaili stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Eriz in the 56th minute of play forced Pedermar AFC's goalkeeper Gervasio Bartoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nunez Merexildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Chayo having to interfere. Gervasio Bartoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Eriz in the 68th minute of the match. Gervasio Bartoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Norino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Pedermar AFC defense, Leonides Sandaili kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gervasio Bartoli. The Pedermar AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gervasio Bartoli should have stopped the shot. Honorato Eriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedermar AFC's Gervasio Bartoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Sandaili in the 95th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
