Duda Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Abadia in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Filiberto Abadia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpool F.C's Duda Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jacobo Chesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 31 played minutes Mojotoro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Abreu. Alfredo Orland, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Augusto Facchini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Duda Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 41 minutes, Jacobo Chesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mojotoro AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Chesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Filiberto Abadia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duda Branco was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filiberto Abadia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Abadia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mojotoro AFC's goalkeeper Teofilo Argenis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Mojotoro AFC defense, Viktor Rudkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teofilo Argenis. The Mojotoro AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teofilo Argenis should have stopped the shot. Duda Branco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiberto Abadia's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Francisco Francis put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Liverpool F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Filiberto Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Branco having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Gaston Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Ferrer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
