After having played for 23 minutes, Celso Iturri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Hegoi in the 76th minute of play forced Deportivo 3 de Febrero's goalkeeper Fernan Bertran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Deportivo 3 de Febrero defense, Eusebio Espiridion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernan Bertran. The Deportivo 3 de Febrero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernan Bertran should have stopped the shot. Deportivo 3 de Febrero may have spent more time on the ball, but cumbian were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
