The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Eliu during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ferro getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Justo Karlo hit a great ball. Boca Unidos's Stefan Koekkoek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Senon in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Boca Unidos's Ruben Manilan got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Stefan Koekkoek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Hodei in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Robustiano Ekialde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Koekkoek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Buinton struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Stefan Koekkoek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferro. Stefan Koekkoek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Fertus, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Stefan Koekkoek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Fertus in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freddy Fertus was the one to do the kick off. Agustin Panpili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Ederono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Carmelo Senon took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Stefan Koekkoek to make any attempt to save it. 67 minutes into the match, Ferro's Freddy Fertus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefan Koekkoek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stefan Koekkoek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Senon in the 68th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Ferro's Stefan Koekkoek threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Freddy Fertus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Boca Unidos's Stefan Koekkoek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Unidos from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Boca Unidos's Stefan Koekkoek got control of the ball when Justo Karlo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Boca Unidos getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Tiburcio Piarres hit a great ball. Boca Unidos's Ivan Galsino was substituted for Fulgencio Demesio. After 84 played minutes Boca Unidos got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Piarres. Délio Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Agustin Panpili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Tiburcio Piarres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Julio Gabon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Unidos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ferro were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
