The tension between the Palo FC and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes Palo FC got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Cefero. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Palo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Erauso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismael Txema didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melchor Victoro went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15thth minute of the game Rodolfo Fix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palo FC's Roque Cristofor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Melquiades Iratzeder recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roque Cristofor. Melquiades Iratzeder showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Lukasz Szpakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Iratzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Cristofor was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Melquiades Iratzeder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Melquiades Iratzeder really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 25th minute Ivan Ur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Txema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Fix to maneuver through the defense. Roque Cristofor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Iratzeder in the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Fix in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Cristofor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Palo FC's Roque Cristofor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Fix in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Palo FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rafael Chap hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Leopoldo Eduino got a free kick in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Ur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roque Cristofor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Iratzeder in the 55th minute of play. Rodolfo Fix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Roque Cristofor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roque Cristofor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Iratzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Txema made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Chap in the 63rd minute. Leopoldo Eduino lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The goalkeeper, Ismael Txema, was totally fooled by Palo FC's Rene Emeterio, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Celestino Gaxan came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Gaxan couldn't finish the play. Roque Cristofor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Iratzeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslav Jirka to maneuver through the defense. Rene Emeterio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Txema read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Gaxan in the 77th minute of play forced Palo FC's goalkeeper Roque Cristofor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Melquiades Iratzeder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Cristofor. Palo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Iratzeder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Melquiades Iratzeder scored 4-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Cristofor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Melquiades Iratzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
