Spectators: 7134 (Terracing: 5352, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Santo Inko kicked off to start the match. Pedro Loren took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiburcio Millan. Tiburcio Millan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Pedro Loren scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiburcio Millan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Empalme getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Maximino Birjaio hit a great ball. Tiburcio Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Tximitx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo Inko charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santo Inko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Inko to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Leon Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Millan came out of the goal and Leon Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiburcio Millan came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Empalme's Pedro Loren. But to his dismay, Pedro Loren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nicasio Merexildo's late challenge caught a Empalme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicasio Merexildo helped the player get up and apologised. When Braulio Galeno fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente's protests and gave Braulio Galeno a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Independiente! Tiburcio Millan went to the wrong direction when Aldo Firman was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, Empalme's Leon Beturian got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Tiburcio Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Loren, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felippe Mangueira during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felippe Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Tiburcio Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Primo in the 36th minute of play. Independiente's Tiburcio Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Loren in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute Pedro Loren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Millan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Loren to make the kick off. Tiburcio Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Loren in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Independiente's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leon Beturian fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Tiburcio Millan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Santo Inko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cristian Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Empalme booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Mercurio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Firman struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Tiburcio Millan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empalme. In the 66th minute Pedro Loren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Millan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Loren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tiburcio Millan came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Loren slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute, Felippe Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Severo Cebo. In the 81st minute, Pedro Loren made a precise shot to the right of Tiburcio Millan. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The supporters of Empalme booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Inko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Leon Beturian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Empalme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7.
