The coaching staff of Guerrico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Apolo Dolfos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Guerrico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cortaderas:s goal. The goalkeeper, Antonio Roma, was totally fooled by Cortaderas's Jesus Casado, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Guerrico's Antonio Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Jusepe in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Inocencio Jusepe made the kick off in the second half. When Joaquin Jaume fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guerrico's protests and gave Joaquin Jaume a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cortaderas booed when Guerrico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guerrico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 79th minute, Teodosio Atauri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
