After 12 minutes, Bruno Yáñez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE and the C. A. Zangano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Yáñez to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE got a freekick which was hit by Moises Oliverio. After a rather tough play, MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE's Everardo Bernad got a free kick in the 30th minute. Zangano's Zeledon Aureo to fire away a dangerous shot which Hilario Tanio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tadeo Varallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Benigno Frascuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeo Varallo might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benigno Frascuelo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tadeo Varallo ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE made a substitution. Jose Hondo replaced Tadeo Varallo. Hilario Tanio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Maura, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Hilario Tanio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Diego Ekain kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. C. A. Zangano made a substitution. Sergio Belo replaced Zeledon Aureo. In the 61st minute, Diego Ekain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of C. A. Zangano booed when MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Silvanus Fuhrmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Hondo took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benigno Frascuelo. Benigno Frascuelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Eulalio Guzman scored 3-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benigno Frascuelo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eulalio Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE:s Hilario Tanio showed great skill when he stopped Enrique Maura:s penalty. C. A. Zangano's Horacio Meder was substituted for Elias Tadzio. 86 minutes into the match, MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Maura came free, but Hilario Tanio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jose Hondo fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE's protests and gave Jose Hondo a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE got a freekick which was hit by Jose Hondo. Horacio Meder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Hilario Tanio made a huge save. MONTERRICO SAN VICENTE were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of C. A. Zangano for a fine match.
