The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 4 minutes on the clock, Esteban Harkaitz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atego Fútbol Club! Marcial Etxekopar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Primo in the 11th minute of the match. After 16 minutes, Tomás Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akademia F.C and the Atego Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Akademia F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Flor to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Atego Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Celestino Jurdan hit a great ball. Gabriel Medina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Ivan Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Marcial Etxekopar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Akademia F.C getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sixto Quico hit a great ball. A collision led to Atego Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Celestino Jurdan hit a great ball. Ivan Primo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Marcial Etxekopar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atego Fútbol Club. After a defensive mix-up in Akademia F.C's zone, Celestino Jurdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Etxekopar came out of the goal and Celestino Jurdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dario Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 53 played minutes Atego Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Jurdan. Atego Fútbol Club's Gabriel Medina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Atego Fútbol Club from getting a goal against them. Ivan Primo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Etxekopar having to make a save. When Celestino Jurdan came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Atego Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Jurdan couldn't finish the play. Celestino Jurdan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Ivan Primo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Etxekopar. Akademia F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Primo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Ivan Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dario Tauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Etxekopar having to interfere. When Fernan Koldobika came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Atego Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernan Koldobika couldn't finish the play. Tomás Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Akademia F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Galsino to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th match minute, Akademia F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Flor to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Atego Fútbol Club booed when Akademia F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Heli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 played minutes, Atego Fútbol Club's Igor Medero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcial Etxekopar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atego Fútbol Club reached it. If Ivan Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atego Fútbol Club's Dario Tauro got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernan Koldobika struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Marcial Etxekopar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atego Fútbol Club. Ivan Primo took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcial Etxekopar. Marcial Etxekopar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Ivan Primo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Akademia F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Tauro came free, but Marcial Etxekopar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernan Koldobika recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Atego Fútbol Club were the better team. Atego Fútbol Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
