When Leopoldo Salvadore fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esmeralda's protests and gave Leopoldo Salvadore a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Esmeralda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Jairo Omero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Esmeralda's Elvio Mateo. Baldomero Osoitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Delmiro Fero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Pablo Sanson came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Esmeralda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Sanson couldn't finish the play. Baldomero Osoitz kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 40thth minute. Though ot was a great shot EPJ COMPETICION's keeper Delmiro Fero was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. EPJ COMPETICION's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Donato Atauri scored to the left of an out of position Delmiro Fero, making the score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Omero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Feliciano Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Fero having to interfere. After a rather tough play, EPJ COMPETICION's Erubiel Aragones got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Baldomero Osoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmiro Fero was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. If Uriel Maore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvio Quintana during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Esmeralda booed when EPJ COMPETICION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Quintana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Fero went to the wrong direction when Feliciano Jobo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Delmiro Fero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Atauri in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Osoitz in the 88th minute of play forced EPJ COMPETICION's goalkeeper Delmiro Fero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Pablo Sanson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of EPJ COMPETICION's Delmiro Fero. Delmiro Fero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pablo Sanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Esmeralda fully deserved thier win.
