The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of La Meresunda F.C booed when Yerbas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Erasto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Venancio Furman managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Meresunda F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Furman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Urtzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sixto Oskarbi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When Mateo Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yerbas FC's protests and gave Mateo Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Yerbas FC got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Erasto. Venancio Furman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Anastasio Urtzi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ariel Pelagius had several of the Yerbas FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Anastasio Urtzi as he didn't even see the shot coming. Anastasio Urtzi stood somewhat misplaced when Venancio Furman came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. Yerbas FC's Cecilio Tibalt suffered a concussion in the 23rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 23 minutes, Ariel Pelagius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Meresunda F.C and the Yerbas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Yerbas FC booed when La Meresunda F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Pelagius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Anastasio Urtzi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as La Meresunda F.C's Venancio Furman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anastasio Urtzi. That made the score 4-0 after 27 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Yerbas FC's Horacio Justin got a free kick in the 31st minute. Anastasio Urtzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Pelagius in the 35th minute of play. Ariel Pelagius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Anastasio Urtzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anastasio Urtzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Furman in the 41st minute. With a little luck, Yerbas FC's Anastasio Urtzi got control of the ball when Venancio Furman tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Ariel Pelagius took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Anastasio Urtzi to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustaquio Beturian made a kick off. After 56 minutes of play, La Meresunda F.C's Venancio Furman made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasio Urtzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ariel Pelagius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anastasio Urtzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Venancio Furman put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anastasio Urtzi. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yerbas FC's goalkeeper Anastasio Urtzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yerbas FC's Anastasio Urtzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Pelagius in the 73rd minute of play. Anastasio Urtzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Furman in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Pelagius in the 75th minute of play forced Yerbas FC's goalkeeper Anastasio Urtzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When La Meresunda F.C's Ariel Pelagius in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Anastasio Urtzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Pelagius, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Venancio Furman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Anastasio Urtzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Venancio Furman in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anastasio Urtzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Meresunda F.C fully deserved thier win.
