Arnaldo Ospetsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the F. C. Shakhtar defense, Benito Bras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Urbez. The F. C. Shakhtar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Urbez should have stopped the shot. Jonatan Ignado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Shakhtar's Daho Mamouni made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guaberto Cordaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Shakhtar's Genaro Birila looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 13-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 86th match minute, Chaleco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Casomiro to maneuver through the defense. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
