When Aquilino Cresencio fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo FC's protests and gave Aquilino Cresencio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to San Lorenzo FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Aquilino Cresencio hit a great ball. Gaspar Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Baldomero Cristofor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Nikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Cristofor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damaso Cordarrol went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Pirro in the 34th minute of play forced San Lorenzo FC's goalkeeper Baldomero Cristofor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Lorenzo FC's Baldomero Cristofor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Pirro in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the San Lorenzo FC defense, Eusebio Nikola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldomero Cristofor. The San Lorenzo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Cristofor should have stopped the shot. After the first half Durazno were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Pirro made a kick off. Basilio Christobal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Jordy went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Eusebio Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Cristofor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Pirro in the 74th minute of the match. Basilio Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Abalos in the 78th minute of play. Gaspar Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Basilio Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Cresencio took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basilio Christobal. Basilio Christobal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. San Lorenzo FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
