In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund FC's goalkeeper Maximiliano Cai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gualterio Estevez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriana Che in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Placido Sengrat during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, FC José C. Paz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Sengrat to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Hunfredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Gualterio Estevez made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Hunfredo got free with Gualterio Estevez in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Aristides Vidal hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Adriana Che got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Adriana Che's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Estevez was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Maximiliano Cai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gualterio Estevez. FC José C. Paz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvador Hunfredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Borussia Dortmund FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
