When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Virgilio Orland sped through Boys Town FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anacleto Ralondo. After 27 played minutes, Boys Town FC's Danilo Belasko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ovidio Weterio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boys Town FC reached it. Oscar Cugat's late challenge caught a Boys Town FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Cugat helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, C.A Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Cugat to maneuver through the defense. If Fulgencio Herensuge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Herensuge in the 34th minute of play forced Boys Town FC's goalkeeper Anacleto Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Ralondo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgilio Orland in the 47th minute. After a rather tough play, Boys Town FC's Constantino Enmanuel got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximiliano Quintin to make the kick off. Anacleto Ralondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Herensuge, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 59 minutes of play, C.A Velez Sarsfield's Fulgencio Herensuge made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The supporters of C.A Velez Sarsfield booed when Boys Town FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Gaueko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Fulgencio Herensuge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anacleto Ralondo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 67th minute, Saul Quintun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Boys Town FC's zone, Fulgencio Herensuge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Ralondo came out of the goal and Fulgencio Herensuge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgilio Orland hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. C.A Velez Sarsfield's Ovidio Weterio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. Anacleto Ralondo came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by C.A Velez Sarsfield's Virgilio Orland. But to his dismay, Virgilio Orland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Herensuge in the 88th minute of play forced Boys Town FC's goalkeeper Anacleto Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Fulgencio Herensuge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anacleto Ralondo was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 96th minute, Virgilio Orland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anacleto Ralondo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. C.A Velez Sarsfield's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
