Estrella maldonado f.c.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorato Ederono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Estrella maldonado f.c.'s goalkeeper Atilano Leocadio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Orland. Ovidio Weterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tanek Bobrowski in the 13th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes Estrella maldonado f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Galtero. When Honorato Ederono came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Estrella maldonado f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Ederono couldn't finish the play. Oscar Cugat hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Tanek Bobrowski hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Estrella maldonado f.c.'s goalkeeper Atilano Leocadio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Orland. Atilano Leocadio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Sengrat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Victorino Sengrat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Leocadio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Leocadio came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A Velez Sarsfield's Virgilio Orland. But to his dismay, Virgilio Orland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Victorino Sengrat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Atilano Leocadio made a huge save. Fulgencio Herensuge scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atilano Leocadio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Gustavo Garaona had to leave the field with a concussion. C.A Velez Sarsfield's Honorio Eleder was substituted for Gustavo Garaona. After a rather tough play, Estrella maldonado f.c.'s Tanek Bobrowski got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 44th match minute, C.A Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Fonda to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tanek Bobrowski was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Estrella maldonado f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Cugat came free, but Atilano Leocadio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estrella maldonado f.c.'s Atilano Leocadio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Orland in the 59th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Estrella maldonado f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Galtero. Atilano Leocadio came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A Velez Sarsfield's Virgilio Orland. But to his dismay, Virgilio Orland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gonzalo Fonda kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Tanek Bobrowskis short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Ovidio Weterio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tanek Bobrowski in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidio Weterio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Orland in the 76th minute of play forced Estrella maldonado f.c.'s goalkeeper Atilano Leocadio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Estrella maldonado f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Herensuge came free, but Atilano Leocadio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Orland in the 79th minute of play forced Estrella maldonado f.c.'s goalkeeper Atilano Leocadio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of C.A Velez Sarsfield booed when Estrella maldonado f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Galtero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estrella maldonado f.c.'s Atilano Leocadio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Herensuge in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Virgilio Orland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Atilano Leocadio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Orland in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, C.A Velez Sarsfield's Honorio Eleder seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Honorio Eleder the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of C.A Velez Sarsfield protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Honorio Eleder had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of C.A Velez Sarsfield:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Estrella maldonado f.c.:s goal. Ovidio Weterio went to the wrong direction when Honorato Ederono was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ovidio Weterio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tanek Bobrowski's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Virgilio Orland struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Atilano Leocadio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Velez Sarsfield. After 97 minutes, Godofredo Galtero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrella maldonado f.c. and the C.A Velez Sarsfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estrella maldonado f.c. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for C.A Velez Sarsfield. Paulino Erlantz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Atilano Leocadio. 5-0. When the referee ended the match the C.A Velez Sarsfield players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
