If Adan Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adan Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Jeronimo Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Ledesma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Honesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Laurendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Pérez's Rosendo Honesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Chuan in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Deportivo Saavedra's Aquilino Laurendi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Honesto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 60th minute, Adan Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeronimo Emesto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guido Ledesma came out and tried to block the shot, but Jeronimo Emesto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 97th minute. The Deportivo Saavedra supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pérez's performance. The match ended with a win for Pérez.
