In the 19th minute, one of EmpomadoresFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for EmpomadoresFC. Denis Lluciano struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Gonzalo Urbez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosme Fulanito FC. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cosme Fulanito FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave EmpomadoresFC a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zeledon Nahia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cosme Fulanito FC's Fulgencio Maldonado. 2-1. Ezequiel Damario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Maldonado having to make a save.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Lluciano in the 53rd minute of play forced EmpomadoresFC's goalkeeper Gonzalo Urbez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Lluciano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Roman Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Denis Lluciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Urbez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cosme Fulanito FC's Gervasio Bartolome got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th match minute, Cosme Fulanito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Bartolome to maneuver through the defense. If Roman Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ezequiel Damario came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the EmpomadoresFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Damario couldn't finish the play. Gervasio Bartolome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Lluciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Urbez having to interfere. If Edgardo Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Paio kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Roman Bortzaioriz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Fulgencio Maldonado made a huge save. Fulgencio Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Brais in the 92nd minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
