The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Laureano Castel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Díaz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Argenis came free, but Emiliano Milian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ballester booed when Díaz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Abeijon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Tanio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Gilesindo having to interfere. Santtu Jukkola kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prudencio Tabb during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Díaz FC got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Tabb. Esteve Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Castel in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Díaz FC's goalkeeper Emiliano Milian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agustin Argenis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustin Argenis in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Milian saved Díaz FC from getting behind. Ballester's Eleuterio Banegas got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Agustin Argenis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emiliano Milian, 1-0. Agustin Argenis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emiliano Milian having to make a save. When Mario Havier fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballester's protests and gave Mario Havier a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ballester made a substitution. Zeledon Espiridion replaced Arnaldo Cai. The audience was convinced that Agustin Argenis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Milian was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Agustin Argenis notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Díaz FC's Emiliano Milian. Emiliano Milian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Tanio during the 66th minute. Esteve Gilesindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Abeijon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Gilesindo was a little too slow when Danilo Tanio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 4-1. Ballester made a substitution. Angelo Steven replaced Mario Havier. After 79 minutes, Agustin Argenis made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Díaz FC's Emiliano Milian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Emiliano Milian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Argenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Ballester's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
