FC Manchester City's Gaston Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Auffarth in the 14th minute of play. Severiano Sazon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gaspar Unai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Villa Espil's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Unai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaston Matthew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atletico Villa Espil's Nick Auffarth got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severiano Sazons short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Gaston Matthew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mario Cesario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Gaston Matthew made a huge save. Atletico Villa Espil's Lino Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Birjaio in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Manchester City's goalkeeper Gaston Matthew, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mario Cesario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Matthew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Cesario in the 64th minute of the match. Gaspar Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Cesario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Gaston Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severiano Sazon might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Matthew. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severiano Sazon ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atletico Villa Espil had played much better football throughout.
