Pawel Konopka kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Erasmo Saturnin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aidan Alcorns short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Rafael Atarratze to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Nyemanting in the 28th minute of play forced Deportivo Riestra's goalkeeper Rafael Atarratze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Deportivo Riestra booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Etor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Etxatxu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes in the game, Aidan Alcorn dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aidan Alcorn made a kick off. Rafael Atarratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aidan Alcorn in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Deportivo Riestra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Seme to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Deportivo Riestra booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Arnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Riestra's goalkeeper Rafael Atarratze, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Arne Nyemanting came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Nyemanting couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Riestra's Rafael Atarratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aidan Alcorn in the 73rd minute of play. Rafael Atarratze came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Arne Nyemanting. But to his dismay, Arne Nyemanting quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 77 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Arne Nyemanting. 79 minutes into the game, River Plate's Arne Nyemanting nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Atarratze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Deportivo Riestra's Rafael Atarratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aidan Alcorn in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Aidan Alcorn notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Deportivo Riestra's Rafael Atarratze. Rafael Atarratze was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 90 minutes into the match, Deportivo Riestra's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Nyemanting came free, but Rafael Atarratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River Plate walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
