The referee felt a red card was in order, 6 minutes into the game, when Eustacio Beila put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Ateneo Don Bosco booed when Nío was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Beila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Ihazintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Albano Santana made a huge save. Pål Axelsson took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eustacio Diagur. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Nemesio Pere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eustacio Diagur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nío's Eustacio Diagur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Axelsson in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Nío's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Pere came free, but Eustacio Diagur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Nemesio Pere sped through Nío's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eustacio Diagur.
