In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind BORUSSIA PUMA's goalkeeper Samuel Thomas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Washington's goalkeeper Segundo Lluterio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Ereinotz. Jonatan Guipuzkoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Thomas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Samuel Thomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Benat, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Prospero Benat kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Prospero Benat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, BORUSSIA PUMA's Fernan Abilio got a free kick in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prospero Benat was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernan Abilio during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd minute, one of BORUSSIA PUMA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BORUSSIA PUMA. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Washington's Filomeno Locaio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Samuel Thomas. In the 57th minute, Jonatan Guipuzkoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonatan Guipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Samuel Thomas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Washington. Segundo Lluterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Nuno in the 61st minute of play. If Donato Garaile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Benat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Thomas having to interfere. A collision led to BORUSSIA PUMA getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Basilio Katia hit a great ball. Felipe Fraco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Thomas having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Benat got free with Samuel Thomas in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Donato Garaile put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Samuel Thomas. Samuel Thomas came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Washington's Prospero Benat. But to his dismay, Prospero Benat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 84 minutes into the game, Prospero Benat lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Samuel Thomas. Jonatan Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Guipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Thomas having to interfere. Felipe Fraco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Felipe Fraco came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Washington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Fraco couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes in the game Filomeno Locaio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Prospero Benat.
